CV Joint Replacement

Example ( Opel,VW,Fiat Uno,Ford Bantam). - Slide rubber boot from drive shaft, you can mark the star(hub) in relation to the cage and joint housing. - Swivel the star and the cage to rectangular apertures are aligned with housing, then withdraw the cage and the star. The balls must come out one after one. - Turn the cage until rectangular apertures are aligned with the housing, then withdraw the cage and the star. - Turn the star and insert one segment into one of the rectangular aperture, swivel the star from the cage. The joint component including balls same seize , must only be fitted to the correct side. Clean the component,examine for crack, wear and damage. The vibration, noise on turns left or right, and noise on taking up drive, you have worn drive shaft joints. To reassembly is same operation to dismantling, the difference between is you insert the balls back. Now, you know how the CV Joint work and from your visual inspection or your auto mechanic you determine why your car was making noise in turn.
